Cuttings from Contemporary Fashion

Saks Fifth Avenue's New York flagship displayed Sample in six windows facing Rockefel ler Center to promote its 2005 publication. The Guardian named Sample a “Book of the Year,” in its annual roundup (click to read). Described as a “fashion exhibition in a book” Sample presents the perspective on contemporary design from 10 fashion notables whom I enlisted as contributors including Tim Blanks, Alexander McQueen and Arianne Phillips.

Francis Sultana:
Designs & Interiors

This book is a career survey of Francis Sultana, who consistently ranks on Architectural Digest’s annual ‘AD100’ list of top architects and designers. I adapted my chapter about his restoration of a historic dwelling within London’s fabled Albany apartment complex for the cover story of AD’s December 2019 ‘Living With Art’ issue.
